TIPS FOR STAYING FOR LONG PERIODS IN YOUR CHALET

Kitchen Tips:

Always check the kitchen pantry, stack up the six-gallon poly pails of cooking oil, vinegar, vanilla, pepper, apple sauce, molasses, brown sugar, ketchup, powdered margarine, raspberry jam, peanut butter, chocolate syrup, dry soups, tea, minced onions, and honey. Many gallons of plastic barrels may hold pasta, flour, dried potatoes, beans, rice, oatmeal, salt, sugar, powdered milk, coffee, cocoa, lemonade mix, and other basics while bulk yeast, baking powder, baking soda, spices and condiments lined the shelves. Cases of tuna fish, chili, soup, and stew cans to be stacked behind the ten pound bags of potatoes, and onions. Large cans of assorted canned vegetables, fruits and juices complete your major provisioning.

Medicine:

Vitamin and mineral supplements must be lined up in one shelf. Few off-shelf anti fever drugs, insect bite/repellant lotions and a strip of pain killers would suffice for any medical need.

Weapons & Tools

Guns with rare cartridges go into gun racks while handguns and smaller blades go into cabinets with the ammunition.

Next on the agenda may be your various small tools for your hobbies and collections. Equipment and parts for repairing guns, knives, watches, locks to be organized. With the considerable 'spare' time ahead, you may bring along a couple of each to repair. Chargeable Batteries, handy torches, standby electricity system is a must. Few cans of extra fuel reserved in the guard room would ensure that your generator does not stop.

Axes are good for out door activity of cutting wood in your open area. Archery game set is an aiming activity that all family members and guests would love to contest. Insect repelling lotions from your medicine rack would come to help for outdoor evenings. You can fire up the bar-b-que grill and let the beef cuts somber.

Indoor entertainment may require a wall mounted flat TV along with a couple of pictures and a decent sound system.
